Tristan Da Cunha

We have been invited to play football on Tristan Da Cunha, a small volcanic island with a population of about 275. It sits in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean halfway between South Africa. It has no airport and being a 7 day boat journey from Capr Town it claims to be the most remote inhabited island in the world.

Interestinly until modern times there was not hierachy on the island and until a fish canning factory was set up there they did not use money either.

If you want to find out more Ian Bone wrote an article on the island a few years ago.
