The Suburbans beat Wessex Wanderers 5-2. With so may fixtures to cram into April the Suburbans still have a lot to play for but with Little Stoke out on their own up front it looks like they will be vying for second or third place.

The Saturday A Team lost 2-3 to Sneyd Park. The As are lying 5th but could finish 3rd if they get a move on.

The Saturday B Team lost to Clifton St Vincent’s A 3-1. Although they are currently lying 9th out of 14, with most of the teams below them having games in hand the Bs could still have a little fight on their hands to avoid relegation.

The Netball Team report thus:

The A’s play a revamped Southside team who outplayed us today and we lost 27-42. Gutted. Mare got player from them and Lou from us. The Too’s didn’t have a game.

The Sunday Team have finished their league matches since there are only 6 teams in their division. Despite a late surge early poor form mean that they have finished mid-table. They played 10, won 4, lost 4, drew 2, for 38, against 23, points 14. With just the bottom two teams left to play each other they are assured 3rd place.

Of course this season for the Sundays has been about cups and not the league. They are in the final of the GFA Cup and they play their semi final of the League Cup next Sunday away at Hanham against Hanham Sundays. After the regrettable violence at last Sunday’s match against the same opposition tensions are running high and we wait with baited breath to see the outcome of Chapter 2.
