Cup Glory

Churchways opted to bat first and were skittled inside 16 overs for 38 runs. It is believed this is the record for the lowest score an opposition has ever scored against a cowboys side. Though others may remember otherwise?

Only 4 bowlers were required. Rob T opened and found a naggingly awkward length, going for just 11 runs. RT2  was quick and aggressive, getting good bounce out of a pitch that looked as though it should be placid and taking 3 for 12. SteveO carried forward his swinging exploits from the weekend with figures of 3 for 11. Omar was just plain hostile. One bouncer fended away with a glove from the batsmans face straight into keeper Justins gloves was joint winner of the cider moment (along with a smart direct hit run out by Ben). Omar finished with ridiculous figures of 4 overs 3 for 3.

The reply was largely trauma free and unremarkable save for one massive straight 6 from RT2. Ben and Iggy brought it home inside the 10th over for 3 wickets.

Easton Cowboys won by 6 wickets.
