The Cricket 3rd Team beat Timsbury CC 3rd Team by 4 wickets. This game was Catches Win Matches Part II. The Cowboys caught out 3 of Timsbury’s top 4 batsmen with 3 stunning catches, one from Gary and two from Jeff. Gary managed to sledge out one of the younger oposition batsmen with a suspect commet about a rip in his trousers, the kid was bowled next ball. Ev’s paranoia grew to new bounds after he left the field for an over to take his daughter to the toilet and came back to find that in his absence the game had stopped for a choc ice break. Timsbury were all out for 79 in 28.4 overs with Ev Bowling 5-1-9-1, Tinx bowling 8-1-21-2 and Stevo bowling 1-0-1-1. Even with such a low target the Cowboys limped home losing 6 wickets along the way. Jeff and Rich had an opening partnership of about 40 runs of which only about 16 came of the bat, the rest were extras who ultimately top scored with 32, closely followed by Gary who hit 27.

Copa Lucrecia Lindo 2009 Women’s Futbol for Nicuragua at Windmill Hill City Farm the Cowgirls won!!

The Cricket 1st Team lost to Churchways 2nd Team by 82 runs. The Cowboys had Churchways on the ropes at 25 for 4 at one point but they broke free to get 194 for 7 in their 40 overs. Roger, on his return to the 1st team, bowled 8-3-23-4. In reply the Cowboys reached 112 all out with Mav hitting 34 and Angelo hitting 21.

The Cricket 2nd Team lost to Claverham 3rd Team by 113 runs. Claverton hit 245 for 8, Bernet bowled 8-0-32-2, Dean bowled 6-0-34-2.In reply the Cowboys got to 132 before being all out in 33.4 overs.  Aran hit 33, Mackie 31 and Harry hit 21.
