Netball

We’re currently at capacity – apart from needing skilled shooters. Please contact us if you’re a GS/GA looking for a new club or if you play another position and would like to be added to our waiting list.

We are Bristol’s most inclusive netball team welcoming players from all backgrounds and communities. We believe everyone has the right to feel a sense of belonging both on and off the court.

We have three teams in the Avon League – in divisions 3, 5 and 7 – plus an amazing coach and qualified umpires. But we’re more than that. We’re energetic, kind and values-led. And also love to have fun at our regular social events.

Use the contact form to reach Easton Cowgirls Netball (please say it’s netball you are interested in in your message).

To find out more about our philosophy and ethos read the Welcome Leaflet which introduces The Club to new members.

Our club history

The netball team started in 2004 as a drunken rant from a few girls who reminisced about playing in school all those years ago. Not all of us had had a good experience of sport at school, so we decided to make it as fun as possible. Sharky, a local with our sponsors (The Plough), took the first step of hiring us a court. Finding free courts was difficult and many a time we played on junior basketball courts, (including ones we had to jump walls to get at)! A year later the Cowboys were clever enough to spot our outrageous debauchery, and invited us into their madness!

Stars promoted to div. 7

The Stars are bloody thrilled to have come second at the end of the season and will be promoted into Div 7. They didn’t believe it was possible at the start of the season after being promoted into Div 8, but after a rocky start and multiple tequila shots, they got their balls together, and smashed their way through the league. The final table has 72 points for the Stars, beaten by long running frenemies Newbridge on 84, with third place Frampton trailing behind on 64. The team would like to thank their captain Jen, and vice captain Cat,...

Seeing triple

Posted by on Oct 24, 2018 in Team News | 0 comments

Having welcomed a new to team to our ranks, Easton Cowgirls Netters are now three! To avoid any hierarchical nonsense, we decided that teams 1, 2 and 3 wasn’t for us, hence, the T’s, K’s and P’s were born. We’ve had a great beginning of season (the T’s haven’t lost a game yet, including a tense match against their old club. Go, T’s!), despite an unbelievable amount of injuries and juggling of players. Last weekend saw all three teams claim victories so we apologise if you were after a sambuca on Saturday at HQ,...
