Netball

We’re currently at capacity – apart from needing skilled shooters. Please contact us if you’re a GS/GA looking for a new club or if you play another position and would like to be added to our waiting list.

We are Bristol’s most inclusive netball team welcoming players from all backgrounds and communities. We believe everyone has the right to feel a sense of belonging both on and off the court.

We have three teams in the Avon League – in divisions 3, 5 and 7 – plus an amazing coach and qualified umpires. But we’re more than that. We’re energetic, kind and values-led. And also love to have fun at our regular social events.

Use the contact form to reach Easton Cowgirls Netball (please say it’s netball you are interested in in your message).

To find out more about our philosophy and ethos read the Welcome Leaflet which introduces The Club to new members.

Our club history

The netball team started in 2004 as a drunken rant from a few girls who reminisced about playing in school all those years ago. Not all of us had had a good experience of sport at school, so we decided to make it as fun as possible. Sharky, a local with our sponsors (The Plough), took the first step of hiring us a court. Finding free courts was difficult and many a time we played on junior basketball courts, (including ones we had to jump walls to get at)! A year later the Cowboys were clever enough to spot our outrageous debauchery, and invited us into their madness!

But where is the ball, three players are looking in the same place and the fourth seems more interested in the oposition’s breasts. Or perhaps the glad handing is just a diversionary tactic and the Wing Defence has the ball. Maybe some one turned on their car radio too loud and Staying Alive was playing. But the most likely answer is that Wing Attack has just stated that the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the square...
