Welcome to the dedicated web site created for the Easton Cowboys Fantasy Cricket League
The website is undergoing reconstructive surgery in preparation for the 2018 season.
Meanwhile, the archives contain all the history from the 2012, 2013 & 2014 seasons.
Watch this space for news as the season approaches; most of the rest of the site is currently an artifact, although the rules, regulations & basis for scoring for the new version of the game may be found here.
The 2018 fantasy cricket season is not yet under way, & none of the forms are yet ready for use.
This year's noble cause is the cricket club's 25th Birthday celebration....watch this space for details.
You may note a completely revolutionised system this year from previous incarnations.
Selectors may now select squads of 15 players & choose on a weekly basis, which 11 will play, who will skipper & who will be scoring & fetching the drinks. Reward & jeopardy for batsmen, bowlers, keepers & other fielders has now been re-equilibrated for a new, more respectful paradigm & there are extra team related incentives & disincentives for a seasonal tea, unlimited match report submissions, or inconveniencing lateness & collecting league bans. This brand new modern utopia comes with all its carrots & sticks in plain view, although umpiring, scoring, giving lifts, washing up, helping with match day practicalities, putting out & bringing in flags & circle discs, tidying the kit bag, entertaining, supporting & humouring the team & smiling occasionally will remain for the time being unrewarded by fantasy points.
We also now have 3 league teams competing, all at different levels; so please bear this in mind when selecting. Budgets & prices remain low for this season; will this dickensian winter never end, what must the ghost of Jimmy Hill make of it all? The weekly submission deadline remains midnight Friday, so managers have as long as reasonably possible to gather intelligence & submit changes before the games each weekend. Some may also be pleased to hear that although the administrator hopes to be submitting a brace of teams this year, any prizes due will be dedicated entirely to a jug & the anniversary fund.

All the information; scores, tables & charts, from the earlier Fantasy League season have now been archived, including, for those who are interested, the published details of the composition, captaincy changes & transfer activity over the course of the season for all teams entered.

To enter your team you can use the form on the Quick Start Guide. The Players page contains all the information to build your team, speculate on form, stay in touch with injury & availability developments & decide your strategy for transfer use. Don't be uninformed: new players are qualifying all the time, whilst others are breaking bones, tearing muscles & going off to tropical locations & back. There are tables, stats & charts for cricketer performance & progress; 2017 history & play-cricket links and latest news on cricketers; new player announcements, current injury concerns, a summary of availability & intentions, & archived availability news

Team Changes will be the place to execute all modifications to your line up; change captaincy & roster activity weekly, make up to 5 transfer requests or ask to be reminded about the status & make-up of your team.
Fixtures will eventually list all the scheduled 2018 league, cup & friendly matches confirmed for Easton Cowboys CC & summarise recent news on their status; currently it's stuck in the past.
