Swift match report from tonight’s friendly in case you’re interested: a mixture of 6s, 11s and new recruits, including one who came for the very first time, took on a Div 7 Brislington team.

In order to give everyone at least half a competitive game, there were lots of substitutions and position changes (as well as taking turns to play Brislington’s WD!) We held it together well and were only behind by one goal at halftime.

We launched some strong attacks in the third quarter and moved ahead by 4, but with some defence changes and a final push by Brislington in the fourth quarter they managed to pull it back.

The final score was 13-13 (and I thought netball wasn’t a drawing sport!) Well done to everyone who played and thanks to our umpires and scorers for doing a sterling job.

Hopefully we’ll be back for more friendlies when the season is up and running. Thanks for being so enthusiastic and willing to play outside of training times! xxx
